Accessories

If you would like to move your safety gate to a new opening, the gate may be too short or too wide for the new opening - however, with extensions, you can make your safety gate wider so that it can cover a larger opening. If you want to use your gate for a smaller opening, you can cut off some of your safety gate and then use the rest somewhere else in your home or take it with you if you move to another place.

Secure your home with a safety gate
When you have a safety gate, you can make it flexible by adding extensions. That would allow it to also fit different and wider openings. This can be useful if, for example, you move to a new home or if you want to use the safety gate somewhere else in your house. This also means that you will not have to buy a new gate. In BabyDan’s product range, you can find extensions in many different sizes and colours - there are extensions for all safety gates and purposes. However, keep in mind that you can only extend your safety gate if it is pressure mounted. You also need to keep in mind that some gates need wall cups if you add extensions. Some gates can be extended pretty much indefinitely (such as BabyDan Flex and BabyDan OLAF), but others have limitations. You can also add a section with an extra door if you need more entrances to the area behind the gate. This might be a good idea if you want to turn your gate into a room divider, and selection of an extension also depends on what kind of safety gate you have and what your needs are.
You can also make your safety gate shorter if you want to use it for another opening that is smaller than the opening you were originally using your gate for. In such cases, you need to use the Reduce A Gate kit, which makes shortening your safety gate nice and easy.
